The Boys of the Fort were formed in Fort Scott, Kansas in 1995.  Since that time, they have been fortunate to be able to do shows with such country music greats as Gene Watson, T.G. Sheppard, Johnny Western, and Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers, just to name a few.  In 2007, “The Boys” signed on with Lunacy Records, Oklahoma City. Working with their producer, Dave Copenhaver, they have released a Country album, Let It Go, and their first-ever Gospel album, A Higher Calling. From the Gospel album came their first number one Gospel single, the Jimmy Fortune penned, “He’s Gettin’ Me Ready.”

Since 2007, the future of The Boys of the Fort has been consistently brighter and busier than ever.  They have played city festivals, county and state fairs, and numerous churches throughout the Midwest. Their vocal style blends itself with multiple genres of music. Recently, they have been back in the studio starting work on their second country album from Lunacy Records.
